AUTOPSY (2017)

Performance and video projection

AUTOPSY is a video projection performance made for the historic Autopsy Pavilion in Cartegena, Spain as part of New York University’s 2017 International Archival Exchange program (APEX). A video that pans my prone body is projected onto the domed ceiling with a hand-held projector. I move the projector following the movement of the video so that the image of my body covers the span of the dome over time. Thanks to Salvi Vivancos who generously shared his Autopsy Pavilion residency for one evening.
